Acembes de Carystus, en Eubée, est nommé par Hippolytus (Hoer. 4:2; 5, 13; 10:10), avec Euphrates, le «Peratic», comme un des chefs de la secte ophite appelée Peratae. La forme véritable du nom pourrait être Acelmes.
