Stephen Crisp

Crisp, Stephen, un ministre anglais de la Société des Amis, naquit à Colchester vers 1640. Pendant trente-cinq ans il voyagea et prêcha dans de nombreuses parties de l'Angleterre, de l'Écosse, de la Hollande, de l'Allemagne et des Pays-Bas. Sa vie fut pleine de difficultés. Il mourut le 28 juin 1692. Parmi ses écrits, nombreux mais aucun d'eux n'étant long, on peut citer A Word of Reproof to the Teachers of the World, etc. : — A Description of the Church of Scotland : — An Epistle to Friends, concerning the Present and Succeeding Times : — A Plain Pathway Opened to the Simple Hearted : — An Alarm in the Borders of Spiritual Egypt.
