Hannah Adams

Adams, Hannah naquit à Medfield, près de Boston, en 1756. Elle apprit le grec et le latin auprès d'étudiants logeant chez son père. En 1784 elle publia une View of all Religions, qui connut plusieurs éditions en Amérique et fut réimprimée en Angleterre ; dans sa quatrième édition elle changea le titre en Dictionary of Religions. Elle publia également une History of the Jews (Boston, 1812). Son History of New England parut en 1799. Elle mourut à Brookline (Mass.) le 15 nov. 1831.
