David Krantz

Krantz (ou Cranz), David, un historien morave, naquit à Neugarten, en Poméranie, en 1723. Dans sa jeunesse il fut maître d’école à Herrnhut ; il devint secrétaire du comte Zinzendorf en 1747, fut ensuite envoyé en mission littéraire au Groenland, où il eut un grand succès pour la collecte d’informations historiques. Il revint en 1762 et devint pasteur de l’église de Rixdorf, près de Berlin, en 1766. Il mourut à Gnadenburg, en Silésie, en 1777. Ses œuvres principales sont The History of Greenland, and of the mission of the United Brethren (trad.
